350+ hours of art therapy practicum experience and focused on working with children, youth, and families.

Part of training to be an art therapist was engaging in her own art therapy process to learn it from the inside out, which was a valuable experience personally and educationally.

Her thesis explored the benefits and considerations of a therapeutic art group for LGBTQAI+ adolescents.

Brianna grew up in Port Alberni and moved back in 2021, opening her private practice Peaks and Valleys Art Therapy, a safe and comfortable environment where anyone is welcome to come explore and express themselves creatively and experience a sense of belonging.

She has always been an artist and finds deep value in sharing the healing qualities of making art with others, providing opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to connect with others and express themselves creatively.

Brianna has done additional training in being trauma-informed in her approach, uses a relational approach (focus on building a trusting therapeutic relationship as the foundation), and integrated learnings from child development, attachment theory, and neurobiology into her work with clients, to provide a well-rounded service.
